why toshi

The first sip should make you realize your daily coffee can be better.

Not through effort or equipment or expertise. Just through better coffee, made simpler. We source from single farms, roast in small batches, and seal each packet with nitrogen so it lands in your cup the way it left the roastery.

questions

the short answers

what is a coffee drip bag

A coffee drip bag is a single-serve pour-over. The packet contains ground coffee in a paper filter. The filter has 2 paper ears that hold it on the rim of your mug. You pour hot water through the filter, and the coffee collects in the mug below. The drip bag guide gives the full description.

how do coffee drip bags work

A drip bag operates the same as a manual pour-over. Hot water goes through the ground coffee and then through the paper filter. The paper keeps the grounds and the oils out of your cup. The result is a clean cup. Each packet also has a nitrogen seal that keeps the coffee in good condition.

how do you brew a drip coffee bag

Tear the packet open. Unfold the 2 paper ears. Put the ears on the rim of your mug. Pour a small quantity of hot water on the coffee. Wait 30 seconds. Pour the remaining water slowly, to a total of approximately 200 ml. When the flow stops, lift the filter out. The brew guide shows the full procedure.

do you need equipment for pour-over coffee

No. Only a mug and hot water are necessary. The filter is its own stand. You can make this coffee at a desk, in a hotel room, or outdoors. The time from the first pour to your first drink is approximately 2 minutes.

what is the difference between drip bags, instant coffee, and pods

Instant coffee is coffee that a factory brewed and dried into a powder. A pod machine pushes hot water through a capsule, and a machine is necessary for each cup. A drip bag makes filter coffee on your mug, with no machine. The comparison guide shows the 3 formats side by side.

what does toshi cost, and when can you buy it
